The AHISD Profile of a Learner depicts all that we, as a district, embody. This document provides teachers with a roadmap for creating learning experiences for students with the hope that ultimately, each student can feel they have bloomed into an individual ready for his or her personal future.
Our classroom environments are learner-centered workplaces with a collaborative culture where students are at work utilizing communication, creativity, digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving with the Profile of a Learner as the driving force.
As a district, we understand that ongoing support for our teachers is key to making these classrooms a success. Each teacher works alongside an instructional coach to design work that is aligned with best practices in teaching, future-ready skills, and the AHISD Profile of Learner.
