Community is the heart of Second Act Productions. Through the magic and power of the theater, students will feel welcome, accepted, and encouraged. In our classes and live productions, students of all ages and skill levels can explore their creative side, expand their presentation techniques, and grow in confidence. From the greatest to the least- We all have a part to play.
Keep your kid’s body, mind, and soul, active this summer, with creative adventures in Music, Voice, Acting, and Art. Combine multiple classes and create your custom experience from 9 am to 4 pm. Students can learn proper singing techniques, how to harmonize while singing with others, experience the engaging magic of Drum Circles, experiment with a variety of musical instruments including piano and guitar, explore various art styles and techniques, write a song, learn the power of storytelling, create and act in their very own film, and more. Maya Womb/Abdominal therapy or “Sobadas de Matriz” (as they are known in Mexico and Central America), is an integrative health practice that goes back thousands of years. The purpose is to support the health of organs in the abdomen and bring health to the uterus by gently touching and positioning the organs, such as the uterus back into proper alignment. The uterus is a muscular organ that plays a big role, and when it is tilted it can cause pain, heavy periods, no periods, fertility issues, etc. When our organs have been exposed to traumatic experiences or an injury they can shift and press into other organs causing added and unnecessary discomfort. The Children’s Day Out program is a part of the First Presbyterian Church’s ministry to young children and families. CDO emphasizes Bible stories each week by providing coordinating lessons and music, developmentally appropriate creative art and learning activities. We nurture learning, socialization and spiritual growth in a positive Christian atmosphere.

Summer Arts and Culture Sessions with The Circle School
This spring our community has celebrated the transition of our unique school culture and curriculum into an effective distance learning program. This summer, we will build on that success by offering a variety of programs in a distance format for children ages 7-14. Engaging weekly opportunities have been designed for children to learn and explore together with skilled teacher support.
Our long-running summer tradition of Arts and Culture Sessions such as Dr. Seuss Central, Messy Science, DIY Fashion, and Southern Cooking will still be hands-on in this new format! Prior to the start of the session, students will be provided with prepared materials and a home supplies list to be paired with daily virtual instructions, connections and demonstrations. We offer a full menu of choices to inspire every aspiring chef, artist, poet, or engineer to follow their individual passions and interests.

The San Antonio Tennis Association is currently enrolling in our 6-week summer camp at 9 locations in and surrounding San Antonio. Our program is a low-cost program aimed to diversify the game of Tennis and help make it more accessible to students from underrepresented backgrounds in Tennis as well as provide a fun environment for kids to play Tennis over the summer.
For a 6-week program the total cost ranges from $50-$60 and racquets are available upon request as we are trying to lower the burden for some low-income families to not have to pay for Tennis equipment.
