Valentine’s Day may just be my favorite day of the year. I love the sentiment that surrounds the day and I love telling my friends and family that I love them! Plus, after all of the cheery Christmas decorations come down and the grayness of January has set in, it’s just nice to get some color and fun decor back up! Banners are one of my favorite things to decorate with – they pack and store easily without taking up much room, don’t cost much to make, and make a high impact statement.
Many people like to hang them on a mantle – I usually hang them in my kitchen on our chalkboard wall – this year, paired with a coffee filter and cupcake liner wreath. Think outside the box! Put one in a kid’s bedroom, strung across the dining room or even taped to a bathroom mirror – wherever you could use a little sentimental cheer!
Download the file (just click the links below!), print on card-stock, cut and hole punch, and string together. Use whatever yarn, twine, cord, or ribbon you have on hand to keep costs low! If you don’t have card stock or a color printer at home, you can easily print these files at an office supply store for less than a package of card stock!
