St. Peter School offers an exceptional education for students from 18 months to 8th grade. The Learning Center cares for children ages 18 months to 3 years and incorporates curiosity, student-led and nature-based play in our warm and caring environment. At our elementary and middle school, small class size, remarkable test scores, and focus on faith formation are just some of the reasons our students come from more than 45 zip codes to attend our school. Programs include Spanish for all students beginning in PreK, an outstanding Art program, dedicated science labs in both campus buildings, sports and cheer, and daily Chapel periods each morning. For 95 years, tradition, creativity, and innovation have been at the foundation of our curriculum. Students leave St. Peter’s prepared to thrive at high schools of their choice.

The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District is a fast-growth district with a small-town atmosphere. SCUCISD is located on the northeast side of San Antonio within a 73-square mile area that includes Bexar and Guadalupe counties.
As more and more people discover the high quality of life and education available for residents of the SCUCISD, the district continues to grow.
During the last 15 years, the enrollment in the district has more than doubled. The district now serves over 15,900 students living in the Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City, Selma, Converse, St. Hedwig and occasionally Randolph Air Force Base areas.
Though the district’s name has eventually evolved into perhaps the longest school district name in Texas, its roots date back to the early 1900s when the district was named the Schertz School District. During the mid-1930s, the Schertz and Cibolo districts became one. On April 24, 1961, the school district officially became an “Independent School District.” Universal City was added to the name in 1967.
The district is currently home to 8 Elementary Schools, 3 Intermediate Schools, 2 Junior High Schools and 3 High Schools.
The district is proud to be amongst a very few in the area to hold a charter for an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program. The IB program is a two-year advanced studies program that is housed at Clemens High School.
In addition to the students’ successes, SCUCISD continues to be one of the highest-paying school districts in the state and maintains an employee retention rate that other districts envy.
Central Administrative Offices for the district are located at the William Malish Administration Bldg, 1060 Elbel Road, Schertz TX.
Regular board meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Central Administration Office.
The Board of Trustees include:
– Board President – Gerald “Jerry” Perkins
– Board Vice President – Ed Finley
– Board Secretary – Letticia Sever
– Board Assistant Secretary – Belinda Evans
– Board Trustees – Amy Thomas, Dan Swart and Robert Westbrook

The Gathering Place is a revolutionary new elementary school in San Antonio. The idea was born from Asia Klekowicz and Ryan York’s belief that kids, especially in historically underserved neighborhoods, don’t get a complete education. We spent 10 years teaching, leading, and seeing glimmers of what could be when teachers are trusted, kids are loved for who they are, and administrators don’t measure students by just test scores — but we never saw those pieces fully come together.
Inspired by what could be and disappointed by what was, we quit our jobs, pooled our savings, and traveled the country searching for schools where creativity flourished and every student and teacher was valued. On our journey, we found ourselves in San Antonio, fell in love with the people, and decided never to leave.
We have seen and learned from the best– but we have yet to find what we know can be. So we’ve decided to build it. We have created a new school. A school we wish was around when we were kids, a school we wished existed when we were teachers, a school that all children deserve.
We offer high quality STEM education computer science, Robotics and coding programs for kids ages 4-18.
Holiday camps, winter break camps, summer camps, year round programs and much more.

We encourage our students to bring their own unique talents to the world. No boring sit-in-your-desk teacher-led lecture-style learning at Acton, we believe students learn by doing. We believe the learning experience is much richer when the Guide offers insightful questions and facilitates hands-on learning. Whether it’s launching a startup business, creating a tide-pool habitat, playing a musical instrument, painting a mosaic, or programming a robot, AANSA students are building real-life skills in the studio every day. Our students develop personal virtues such as honesty, hard work, responsibility, kindness, and empathy. Armed with purpose and good character, we believe our students will launch into adulthood prepared to find their calling and change the world.
