New Works SA is a San Antonio-based theatre education non-profit dedicated to providing accessible theatre education through our educational scholarships & performance opportunities for students interested in the arts. We hope to give people the opportunity to learn about theatre regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. Our Spring Classes:
Unleash your creativity and discover the art of acting in our captivating “Intro to Acting” course. Led by our team of theatre professionals, this class offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental techniques and principles of acting, providing a solid foundation for aspiring performers. Classes start February 19th and will be every Monday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
For those with a passion for song and stage, our “Intro to Musical Theatre” course is your ticket to the world of Broadway melodies and storytelling through music. Dive into the magical realm of musicals and hone your performance skills under the guidance of our talented teachers. Classes start February 19th and will be every Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
Moreover, be part of something extraordinary with our innovative “Building with Basics” class. Here, students embark on an exhilarating journey to create their own play while delving into the essential aspects of theatre – from technical intricacies to the art of playwriting, acting, and production. Immerse yourself in a hands-on experience where imagination knows no bounds and creativity takes center stage. Classes start February 19th and will be every Friday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
Our Musical:
The Musical this semester will be Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition. This musical will be 13+ only- read the class description before signing up. Musical rehearsals will start on March 2nd and will be every Saturday from 5pm to 7pm. Show dates will be May 31st, June 1st and 2nd. Come join us as we put together a full scale 2-hour musical with your students!

With generous support from H-E-B, Wellness at the Tobin is a series of free public experiences designed to address aspects of living and being well. We strive to present something for everyone at the Tobin, join us for any or all of these uplifting events throughout the year.
Our passion is for youth of all backgrounds and needs to embrace their limitless abilities, develop their confidence, and express their inner artist. We’re committed to working together to deliver high-quality, innovative theatre instruction, production, and expression.
Keep your kid’s body, mind, and soul, active this summer, with creative adventures in Music, Voice, Acting, and Art. Combine multiple classes and create your custom experience from 9 am to 4 pm. Students can learn proper singing techniques, how to harmonize while singing with others, experience the engaging magic of Drum Circles, experiment with a variety of musical instruments including piano and guitar, explore various art styles and techniques, write a song, learn the power of storytelling, create and act in their very own film, and more. At Shooting For Success, we’re so much more than basketball training. We are a youth and elite basketball organization dedicated to teaching athletes the correct basketball fundamentals, a better understanding of the game, and a set of core values we expect our players to demonstrate on and off the court. We offer basketball camp, weekly, throughout the summer and during school breaks. We also offer year-round private training, youth fundamentals small-group training, and have competitive club teams in various age divisions. SFS Founder and Lead Trainer, David ‘DJ’ Jones played professional basketball overseas and is known throughout the world as ‘The Shot Doctor’ for his shooting mechanics and training. Whether you have a budding basketball player or a player with proven experience, we look forward to helping him or her become not just a better basketball player but a better person on the court and in life.
Day camp at The Little Gym is the perfect choice for long, hot summers and other breaks from school when you want your child to stay active, safe, and happy. The Palo Alto College Youth Summer Camp is a fantastic opportunity for students to participate in enriching experiences during their summer break! Language Immersion Summer Camps in French, Spanish, Mandarin and Russian
Our week-long summer language immersion camps are a fun opportunity for children ages 3-10 to begin learning a new language or keep their skills during school breaks.
