The Gathering Place is a revolutionary new elementary school in San Antonio. Our CTE Programs
Judson ISD offers 22 Career and Technical Education programs of study at our three comprehensive high schools (programs vary by location).
Free Pre-K 3 & 4
Judson ISD will be enrolling 3 and 4-year-olds for our all-day, FREE Pre-K program. Offered at 20 campuses and accepting students from outside Judson ISD! JISD Registration begins February 7th, for the upcoming 2022- 2023 school year.
Year-Round School
Converse Elementary is an Additional Days School Year Campus to better meet the needs of our students (PreK 3 -5th grade). The ultimate goal is to decrease the learning loss from long breaks, such as a traditional summer. The program has many benefits for our students, including having access to a full-time librarian and gifted and talented teacher, additional targeted interventions, and differentiated small group instruction.
Spanish Immersion
The Spanish Immersion Program is designed for English-speaking students who wish to become fluent in Spanish. Students enter the program in first grade. Spanish Immersion teachers follow a scope and sequence for Language Arts that is unique to meet the program’s goals. The scope and sequence for mathematics, science, and social studies match a traditional English-speaking classroom, with the only difference being Spanish as the language of instruction. The inherent nature of these programs creates an active parent-school partnership, which is essential for the success of the program and the student. This program can be found at two of our elementary campuses, Hartman Elementary and Wortham Oaks Elementary.
STEM Programs
Judson ISD is offering STEM programs for students in grades PreK- 12. At Shooting For Success, we’re so much more than basketball training. We are a youth and elite basketball organization dedicated to teaching athletes the correct basketball fundamentals, a better understanding of the game, and a set of core values we expect our players to demonstrate on and off the court. We offer basketball camp, weekly, throughout the summer and during school breaks. We also offer year-round private training, youth fundamentals small-group training, and have competitive club teams in various age divisions. SFS Founder and Lead Trainer, David ‘DJ’ Jones played professional basketball overseas and is known throughout the world as ‘The Shot Doctor’ for his shooting mechanics and training. Language Immersion Summer Camps in French, Spanish, Mandarin and Russian
Our week-long summer language immersion camps are a fun opportunity for children ages 3-10 to begin learning a new language or keep their skills during school breaks. At Heintz Preschool Literacy Camp, we cater to every child’s creative and academic needs while fostering a love for learning through both indoor and outdoor play. Each week, we highlight a classic children’s book through activities and projects appropriate for each age group. Voice and music lessons for children and teens ages 9+. We are partnered with Music Masters, and will be sharing space with them at their Huebner location starting May 2021. In the meantime, we are offering online lessons via Zoom, which can be booked through our website!
