With generous support from H-E-B, Wellness at the Tobin is a series of free public experiences designed to address aspects of living and being well. We strive to present something for everyone at the Tobin, join us for any or all of these uplifting events throughout the year.

Mission Crafts Chandlery is San Antonio’s only pour your own candle “bar” offering candle making classes for both children and adults, scented gifts, and custom fragrance products. The candle bar is no reservation needed with 25 fragrances to play with and funky glassware to choose from to create your very own candle. Classes in candle making are offered a few times per month and can also be booked for private team building, birthday parties, girls night, bachelorette and more. Our selection of custom fragrance products make great wedding, birthday, corporate or other special occasion gifts! Mission Crafts Chandlery is open Wednesday – Saturday 10a.m. – 6p.m.; Sunday 12p.m. – 5p.m.

As a nonprofit organization, Spare Parts’ mission is to advance reuse and sustainability through creativity and the arts. At Playful Hearts, we are proud to offer the early childhood music program Music Together®. Music Together® classes are research-based music classes that are designed to be non-formal and non-performance oriented, so your child can learn at his or her own pace, in a way that’s developmentally appropriate. We offer 45 minute mixed-age classes for children birth – 5 years old and the grownups who love them.®

New Works SA is a San Antonio-based theatre education non-profit dedicated to providing accessible theatre education through our educational scholarships & performance opportunities for students interested in the arts. We hope to give people the opportunity to learn about theatre regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. Our Spring Classes:

Unleash your creativity and discover the art of acting in our captivating “Intro to Acting” course. Led by our team of theatre professionals, this class offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental techniques and principles of acting, providing a solid foundation for aspiring performers. Classes start February 19th and will be every Monday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.

For those with a passion for song and stage, our “Intro to Musical Theatre” course is your ticket to the world of Broadway melodies and storytelling through music. Dive into the magical realm of musicals and hone your performance skills under the guidance of our talented teachers. Classes start February 19th and will be every Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.

Moreover, be part of something extraordinary with our innovative “Building with Basics” class. Here, students embark on an exhilarating journey to create their own play while delving into the essential aspects of theatre – from technical intricacies to the art of playwriting, acting, and production. Immerse yourself in a hands-on experience where imagination knows no bounds and creativity takes center stage. Classes start February 19th and will be every Friday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.

Our Musical:
The Musical this semester will be Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition. This musical will be 13+ only- read the class description before signing up. Musical rehearsals will start on March 2nd and will be every Saturday from 5pm to 7pm. Show dates will be May 31st, June 1st and 2nd. Come join us as we put together a full scale 2-hour musical with your students!

Color Me Mine Huebner Oaks is a paint-your-own-pottery studio open daily from 10-9am. We are walk-in based but also offer field trips, a private party area, and can work with groups to do fundraising and events. The studio has a $10 studio fee per painter and all pieces are individually priced.
