Kick Off Spring with a GNO at Boerne’s Diva Night

This post is brought to you by the City of Boerne.

FINALLY! The GNO you really need…Diva Night on Boerne’s Hill Country Mile.

It’s definitely time for a girls’ night out, safely of course, and Boerne’s Diva Night on April 8 is the perfect kick off for Spring. Twice a year, the shops on Boerne’s Hill Country Mile throw an epic party, staying open late, offering fun cocktails and treats, and allowing access to some of the best shopping in the most unique setting around.

When was the last time you visited downtown Boerne? If it’s been more than a year, you definitely need to check out what’s new and exciting, and Diva Night is the perfect time to do it. On Thursday, April 8, the fun begins at 5PM, when the first 200 visitors at each of the three check-in locations can pick up a free tiara, bag, and feather boa at J. Forks at 470 S. Main, The Dienger Trading Co. at 210 N. Main or The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce at 121 S. Main. Sign up for some great raffles for gift cards as well, then make your way to your favorite shops and boutiques. You can take your time too, because they’re all staying open until 9PM for Diva Night, hooray! (Remember that private businesses are responsible for their own masking requirements, and those may vary from store to store. We always suggest social distancing, washing hands often, and being courteous to those around you.)

There’s so much to shop for right now, too. Spring is finally here; the weather is warming up; and everyone is ready to venture out a little more to explore great patios, breweries, and restaurants (and you can find some of the best in Boerne at HillCountryMile.com.) You’re sure to find your next favorite outfit, accessory, or special treat at one of the Mile’s many boutiques—all stocked with the cutest stuff you’ll ever see. Your tried and true favorites like The Dienger Trading Co., Corner Cartel, Ella Blue, and Boutique Chloe Rose are all participating and you’ll love exploring the new shops (and old favorites in new spots!), like Dang Sassy, Mainly Vintage, Uptown Chic Boutique, J. Forks, and The Sanctuary

And equally as important as shopping is being able to nosh as you meander down Main. Many of the participating shops have fun snacks and drinks, and there are great stops all around the Mile for a drink, quick appetizer, or a full meal. If hubby wants to come along, Tusculum and Cibolo Creek Brewing Companies are great places to sit for a spell and have a pint or two.

If this is your first Diva Night, here’s some insight to help plan your evening: Last year, our group headed from North Central SA around 4:40 p.m. and it took about 35 minutes to get there (though the drive seemed shorter with a carload of fun girls!) There was plenty of parking everywhere, and we easily found a spot near The Dienger Trading Co., just across from Main Plaza, which is also a check-in spot this year. We loved the pop-up bars on Main, grabbed something to sip on, and headed up the east side of Main Street. You may love starting at the brand-new-to-the-Mile RocNRitas (margs to GO, y’all!) located at 112 E. San Antonio Ave, just down the block from Black Rifle Coffee Co. Along the way, we found a few surprises like a super fun photo booth set up to memorialize the night, and the street generally had a fun and festive atmosphere with good music and lots of laughter.

If you’re not familiar with the area, be sure to follow the Hill Country Mile on Facebook and Instagram for updates on things going on in downtown Boerne and sneak peeks of fun things the shops are getting in. And if this Diva Night date doesn’t work for you, you’ll be in the know about all the fun spring events happening in Boerne!
