Four Pretty Coffee Spots to Visit This Spring

Spring has officially sprung in SA! With the return of Fiesta and our BEAUTIFUL pre-inferno weather comes the opportunity to visit some of our city’s loveliest coffee spots. Grab your laptop and pals and check out these local cuties for your new favorite latte and chats.

Coffee Crush

I’ve long had a baby crush on this gem of a coffee shop close to Stone Oak. Try the Hot Coquito Latte or an Iced Horchata Latte. And if you’re feeling peckish, try any of their starry-eyed pastries. Grab a table outside or if it’s still too chilly, pull up a chair and embrace their gorgeous mid-century mod indoor décor.

18010 Bulverde Rd. #109; Monday–Sunday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

You’ll have a crush too!

Cool Beans Cafe

With a pup-friendly menu, plenty of delish coffee options, and a breakfast charcuterie board (for pups and humans), this sweet shop offers locals in the Eilan and the La Cantera area a perfect hub to hit pause. Try the Boriken with Oat Milk when you visit. Pro-tip: Grab some beautiful dog cookies to go (freshly baked by a local partner).

17803 La Cantera Terrace, Suite 8123; Monday–Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Coffee + Culture Bakery

Love April weather? Drink your coffee in their expansive outdoor seating area. And with a full menu, there is bound to be a meet-cute in store for your palate. Try the chilaquiles or any variation of their decadent Shakeratos to complement the brazen SATX sunshine. Bonus: The women who run the show are equal parts adorable and kind.

13489 Blanco Road; Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Friday–Saturday, 6:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

Early Bird Coffee

Early Bird has become my new favorite. With house-made syrups, kindred hands-on owners, and the prettiest décor, Early Bird is inviting and joy-inspiring. Come for the Lavender Honey Latte (It is pure sunshine!) and stay to support local artisans during their monthly pop-up markets.

11745 I-10 #527 (Huebner Oaks); Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Pretty and caffeinated
