As Valentine’s Day fades into memory and Easter is still a month or so away (depending on the year!) it is fun to have a March holiday to look forward to. St. Patrick’s Day is certainly a holiday that is celebrated in many ways, some less (ahem) family-friendly than others. This one is fun to share with teachers, friends, family and neighbors.
While the four-leaf clover and St. Patrick’s shamrock have become somewhat interchangeable, they are certainly very different in meaning. Shamrock is the official flower of Ireland and its three leaves were said to be used as a religious symbol by the early Christian church and St Patrick. The four-leaf clover is a symbol of luck – seeing as how one out of 10,000 clovers has four leaves, you were certainly lucky to find one! Combined with a lucky pot of gold, this card combines all of the lucky symbols we love.
As a fun and easy pick-me-up, these cute cards can be quickly printed and folded to bring a little bit of happiness to friends that you’re super lucky to know.
