We offer basketball camp, weekly, throughout the summer and during school breaks. We also offer year-round private training, youth fundamentals small-group training, and have competitive club teams in various age divisions. SFS Founder and Lead Trainer, David ‘DJ’ Jones played professional basketball overseas and is known throughout the world as ‘The Shot Doctor’ for his shooting mechanics and training. Whether you have a budding basketball player or a player with proven experience, we look forward to helping him or her become not just a better basketball player but a better person on the court and in life.

Carlos R. and Mary Garcia sold their modest home in San Antonio to purchase the El Chaparral in Helotes on Feb. 2, 1972. It was formerly known as Rudy and Irene’s, which had been a Mexican establishment for 24 years. Little did they know that this little hole in the wall would someday turn into such a world-class destination. Three decades and two generations of experience later, passion still goes into every smiling face and mouthwatering bite that make up El Chaparral.
