Heintz Preschool of Congregation Agudas Achim (HPS) is an inclusive school that takes pride in the nurturing of young minds through experienced, passionate, hands-on teaching and daily unique learning opportunities.

Our NAEYC accredited program runs August through May, and is carefully planned to meet the developmental needs and learning styles of each child through hands-on learning experiences. We provide a loving, Christian environment for children 12 months old thru Second Grade that offers developmentally appropriate materials and experiences, enabling each child to grow into who they are created to be and rooting them in the story of God’s love. In addition to low ratios, we offer before and after school extended care, Chapel, Music, Motor Skills, Art, Library and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The Saint Mary’s Hall Dance Program is a unique home for students who are interested in the study of dance. At SMH, students have the ability to participate in a variety of dance forms from ballet to hip-hop. Each dance student is nurtured by expert faculty to perform at their maximum potential in their school environment where they have the opportunity to regularly perform for their teachers, fellow students, and family members.

Dance at Saint Mary’s Hall provides students with the opportunity to foster their love of dance; participate in creative expression through movement; develop the kinesthetic skills of strength, endurance and grace; cultivate pride and confidence in themselves; progress in their discipline of practice; and become part of a unique community of dance artists.

Saint Mary’s Hall Dance has a long tradition of excellence and strives to develop an appreciation of dance in each and every student. Some of our dancers go onto participate in dance while in college and beyond, but all our dancers hold within their hearts a deep love for perfecting their craft with their fellow dance artists, guest artists, and teachers during their time at Saint Mary’s Hall.

Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church Day School is located in the heart of Alamo Heights!  Our school exists as a ministry of the Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church, which has provided for our community for the past 109 years.  Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church Day School, AHPCDS focuses on the development of each child in the following areas: Socially, Emotionally. At Discovery School, We Learn as We Play and Play as We Learn!
Discovery School is a private, non-profit, multi-denominational, nationally accredited, child-centered program for children two years through First Grade.

Discovery School strives to create life-long learners and compassionate citizens of the world by integrating hands-on, meaningful learning opportunities across the curriculum to include math and literacy challenges, science/discovery explorations, fine and gross motor activities, language enrichment, the creative arts, field trips or special guests, cooking projects, and community service. Engaged Early Childhood professionals, small class sizes and low student:Teacher ratios and celebrating Families as partners assure optimal learning for all children.

Preschool programs are 2, 3 or 5 mornings per week with an optional Extended Day until 2pm. Kindergarten and First Grade are 5 full days per week. Early Care at 8:00am and Late Care until 3:00pm is also available to all groups.
