At Discovery School, We Learn as We Play and Play as We Learn!
Discovery School is a private, non-profit, multi-denominational, nationally accredited, child-centered program for children two years through First Grade.
Discovery School strives to create life-long learners and compassionate citizens of the world by integrating hands-on, meaningful learning opportunities across the curriculum to include math and literacy challenges, science/discovery explorations, fine and gross motor activities, language enrichment, the creative arts, field trips or special guests, cooking projects, and community service. Engaged Early Childhood professionals, small class sizes and low student:Teacher ratios and celebrating Families as partners assure optimal learning for all children.
Preschool programs are 2, 3 or 5 mornings per week with an optional Extended Day until 2pm. Kindergarten and First Grade are 5 full days per week. Early Care at 8:00am and Late Care until 3:00pm is also available to all groups.
All classes attend Music, Motor Skills and Spanish classes each week; older children participate in Science Lab twice a month.

The San Antonio Tennis Association is currently enrolling in our 6-week summer camp at 9 locations in and surrounding San Antonio. Our program is a low-cost program aimed to diversify the game of Tennis and help make it more accessible to students from underrepresented backgrounds in Tennis as well as provide a fun environment for kids to play Tennis over the summer.
For a 6-week program the total cost ranges from $50-$60 and racquets are available upon request as we are trying to lower the burden for some low-income families to not have to pay for Tennis equipment.

Blessing of Hands Ministries is devoted to making a difference in the community by providing quality food programs for anyone needing access to fresh nutritious food.
Our Giving Fridge is stocked with a variety of fresh food and vegetables and is available to anyone needing access to fresh nutritious food.
Giving Fridge operates on the “Take what you need and leave what you can” model.
We also provide transportation services to faith-based restoration homes in San Antonio and the surrounding area for alcohol- and drug-dependent individuals seeking treatment.
Camp registration is processed online. Registration will open Wednesday, March 1st at 8AM, and will remain open until classes are filled. There will be a non-refundable $35 registration fee per student. This year the registration fee includes a camp t-shirt. All camps are based on the incoming grade for the 2023-2024 school year.
Tuition
Camp tuition is refundable for cancellations made before May 15. In the event that a camp does not make sufficient enrollment, SGES will work to place the camper into an acceptable alternative camp. If placement is not possible, an account credit will be issued. We are unable to prorate or discount tuition due to camper absence.
Morning Care/ Lunch Bunch / Late Care
Morning care will be available from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM. Campers should be dropped off in the GYM each morning and will be taken to their camps at 9:00 AM. Lunch Bunch is offered each day from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Campers need to bring their own lunch and drink each day. Late care will be offered from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. All late care students will need a snack, this will not be provided by St. George. Late care students will be on the playground until 5:30 PM. Any student not picked up by then will be signed out in the Leadership Center (LC). Any student not picked up by 5:30 PM will incur late charges of $1 per minute.
Camp Sessions
Morning camp sessions are from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Afternoon sessions are from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Parents will drop campers off and pick them up at the GYM. Campers should be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes prior to session start time.
Security
St. George will provide standard campus security during the camp day, which includes all gates being locked at all time with access only granted through the Leadership Center until late care. We will have an SAPD officer on campus throughout the day.
