Giant Steps “Summer Enrichment Camp” is built upon session themes designed to inspire your child to explore, create, interact, and stay active during the summer months. Each theme will combine famous children’s books with hands-on math, science exploration, outdoor water play, and artistic creations through the eyes of our young learners ages 2-6 years.

Camp sessions are held at Camp La Jita, a beautiful 236-acre camp situated along the Sabinal River near Utopia. Girls will develop independence while under the supervision of specially trained camp staff who help girls plan activities to create a unique camp experience.
Camp Metro Day Camp sessions are held at the West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center in San Antonio. Girls will get hands-on experience and explore skills in a variety of areas including community service, cultural arts, healthy living, environmental awareness, STEM and so much more!
Girls Inc. of San Antonio is an affiliate of the national Girls Incorporated organization that was established locally in November 2004. With a mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, Girls Inc. of San Antonio helps girls age 6 to 18 overcome barriers that prohibit them from achieving their personal, educational, and career goals.
Glenda Woods Girls University is a full-day summer day camp for girls in 1st-6th grade. Each week has a different theme and includes core activities in art, science, reading, and sports. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided. Weekly field trips and multiple swim days!

Give your kids a great summer at this ALL-DAY (8am-5:30 pm) Summer Sports Camp for children 6–16 years old who love sports. The program is instructional and features the club’s junior tennis camp plus “Swim America” swim lessons. Our half-day Summer Tennis Camp is for beginning and intermediate players ages 6–16 years old. All players have optional pool time as well. Sessions are weekly for both camps, with 11 sessions running throughout the summer. Camps are held at Green Tree a tennis and swim club nestled in on 8 acres of wooded land. It is accessible from all parts of town and is located on Callaghan road just inside loop 410 between Bandera & Ingram Rds.

At Heintz Preschool Literacy Camp, we cater to every child’s creative and academic needs while fostering a love for learning through both indoor and outdoor play. Each week, we highlight a classic children’s book through activities and projects appropriate for each age group. Our days are filled with outdoor water play, music, yoga, Spanish class, and so much more! Camp hours are 9 AM to 3 PM with extended care available.

Our camp offers a unique week-long stay in the beautiful Texas Hill Country for boys and girls ages 6-18. Each week is catered to either Elementary, Junior High, or High school ages, with a day camp (ages 5-12) at the end of the Summer. Our camps are designed to help early readers, ages 5 to 8, who have fallen behind, and those needing extra help or learn differently. We use the Orton-Gillingham multisensory, sequential approach to reading and offer two levels; Our “Early Scholars” (Level 1) work on decoding of sound/symbol relationships, digraphs, consonant blends, vowel blends and blending to create fluency. “Budding Scholars”(Level 2) should have the beginning concepts of phonetics and be working towards better fluency and comprehension skills. Our Spring Classes:
Unleash your creativity and discover the art of acting in our captivating “Intro to Acting” course. Led by our team of theatre professionals, this class offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental techniques and principles of acting, providing a solid foundation for aspiring performers. Classes start February 19th and will be every Monday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
For those with a passion for song and stage, our “Intro to Musical Theatre” course is your ticket to the world of Broadway melodies and storytelling through music. Dive into the magical realm of musicals and hone your performance skills under the guidance of our talented teachers. Classes start February 19th and will be every Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
Moreover, be part of something extraordinary with our innovative “Building with Basics” class. Here, students embark on an exhilarating journey to create their own play while delving into the essential aspects of theatre – from technical intricacies to the art of playwriting, acting, and production. Immerse yourself in a hands-on experience where imagination knows no bounds and creativity takes center stage. Classes start February 19th and will be every Friday from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
Our Musical:
The Musical this semester will be Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition. This musical will be 13+ only- read the class description before signing up. Musical rehearsals will start on March 2nd and will be every Saturday from 5pm to 7pm. Show dates will be May 31st, June 1st and 2nd. Come join us as we put together a full scale 2-hour musical with your students!
Palo Alto College will offer a variety of weekly summer program opportunities for children ages 5 to 17 years old. The camp curriculum will focus on leadership, academics, athletics, and pre-college readiness. All sessions are age-specific, high-quality, affordable, and fun options for young scholars. Lunch is provided. Before and aftercare are included with the registration fee.

Or if you choose, the Level 1 Student Workbook and Level 1 Practice Reader will be provided to your child at camp for an additional $25 supply fee.

The San Antonio Tennis Association is currently enrolling in our 6-week summer camp at 9 locations in and surrounding San Antonio. Our program is a low-cost program aimed to diversify the game of Tennis and help make it more accessible to students from underrepresented backgrounds in Tennis as well as provide a fun environment for kids to play Tennis over the summer.
For a 6-week program the total cost ranges from $50-$60 and racquets are available upon request as we are trying to lower the burden for some low-income families to not have to pay for Tennis equipment.
Get ready for a wild summer! At Zoo Camp, campers will not only have the opportunity to learn about everything scaly, furry, and feathery, but they’ll find out how they can help the San Antonio Zoo secure a future for wildlife! Spending most of the day outdoors, campers will stay active and engaged with zoo tours, fun activities and games, exclusive experiences, and visiting animals.
