AFIA crafts world leaders of tomorrow through rigorous and innovative curricula, creative collaboration, guided learning, and an inquiry-driven model. There are now two AFIA campuses: AFIA – NW Military (K-5) and AFIA – Bandera Rd (K-12).
Brooks Academies Virtual Instruction program is open to all students who qualify. There is no cost for this program. Students must qualify and register at one of the Brooks Campuses to participate. The district provides laptops and all curriculum needed. All classes are taught by Texas-Certified teachers in real-time, and students may participate in their home campus sports, clubs, and events. This program is approved by TEA through June 2023. Core subjects and electives are available throughout the day.

The Gathering Place is a revolutionary new elementary school in San Antonio. The idea was born from Asia Klekowicz and Ryan York’s belief that kids, especially in historically underserved neighborhoods, don’t get a complete education. We spent 10 years teaching, leading, and seeing glimmers of what could be when teachers are trusted, kids are loved for who they are, and administrators don’t measure students by just test scores — but we never saw those pieces fully come together.
Inspired by what could be and disappointed by what was, we quit our jobs, pooled our savings, and traveled the country searching for schools where creativity flourished and every student and teacher was valued. On our journey, we found ourselves in San Antonio, fell in love with the people, and decided never to leave.

At Shooting For Success, we’re so much more than basketball training. Camp Champions is one of the top overnight camps in Texas, offering 1-, 2-, and 3-week sessions for campers aged 5-17.

Our week-long summer language immersion camps are a fun opportunity for children ages 3-10 to begin learning a new language or keep their skills during school breaks.
