dannispringfieldDanni Springfield

Nominated by her friend, Joy McGaugh

Joy’s Words: Danni is truly Superwoman. In addition to raising two adorable boys and being a loyal, loving wife to her husband Travis, Danni is also a successful Realtor and an active volunteer with the Junior League of San Antonio. As if that didn’t make her life busy enough, Danni and her family have gone through the rigorous process to become foster parents, recently fostering an infant girl.

Her love for her family, her community, and her friends is inspiring, and she always has a smile on her face no matter how crazy life gets. I am truly in awe of her spirit and her big heart and believe that the world is a much brighter place with her in it. Danni definitely deserves to be recognized!

CaitlinSavage

Caitlin Stagg

Nominated by her husband, Ryan Savage

Ryan’s Words:  We are new to the Alamo City in the last 2 years, relocating here from Shanghai, China, for me to join a startup company that has almost no compensation. The 2nd week in San Antonio, Caitlin became pregnant with our first child Jack.  Despite barely knowing anyone or anything about the city when we arrived, she has managed to find a job, support network, and continue working part time through pregnancy and first year and half of Jack joining us!

Our son is the first boy in her family in 3 generations and she has taken the unfamiliar task of dealing with a little boy without skipping a beat.  On any given day you can catch Caitlin running Jack in our stroller to the local park, teaching him to dance to the “What Does the Fox Say Song”, or helping him find his belly!

She has managed to always keep a positive attitude and be supportive in helping raise Jack and keeping her hubby happy despite some pretty stressful times!  Caitlin has definitely displayed the selfless qualities and love that keeps our young family close knit and moving forward!  We couldn’t get through the day without her!

CherylKorbellCheryl Korbell

Nominated by her daughter, Allison Aderholt

Allison’s Words: Oh MY…where do I start.  On May 9th of last year I was blindsided by the death of my sweet husband of 13 years in a car accident. He was on his way home to see his 21 month old daughter and his 4 year old son before we were off for date night.  Needless to say our world was flopped and I was foggy and disoriented for what seemed like 1/2 a year (wait – still there I think)..but I had 2 sets of precious baby blue eyes looking at me to meet needs they physically couldn’t due to their age: food, diaper changes, nap times, play time, cuddles and explanations of where Daddy went.

My mother has stepped up to the plate in an incredible WAY! She lived with us for 2 months doing meals, laundry, cleaning and getting the kids down for naps then leaving me for a 2 hour quiet time to journal, reflect, sleep, and cry.  She has been a listening ear, carpool driver, Thursday night sitter so I could remain in a ministry that feeds my soul.  She has taken pictures, communicated with our community as to our needs.  She takes every road trip to help, comes over to unpack as we get home, fills my fridge, sews clothes, runs errands, has tea parties and plays baseball with the kids so they don’t miss out on their childhood.  I’m in awe of this woman.

God has blessed me and gone before us to give me the support I needed during these last 11 months. I’m grateful for her.
