Recap | Bloom: An Event for New and Expectant Mothers

On April 28, 150 new and expecting moms and their guests, 40+ vendors, a panel of experts, and the ACMB Events Team gathered at the DoSeum for an evening of community, pampering, and information.

After the incredible DoSeum events staff helped us prep the space, we were ready to welcome our mommy guests with amazing swag bags, sponsored by some incredible national and local companies.

University Health System covered a huge spectrum of information for new moms ranging from general Women’s and Children’s Health to Safe Kids information, including car seat safety info.

A huge thank you to Aria Productions who provided beautiful video coverage of the event—be sure to watch it at the bottom of this post!

So many of our favorite family-centric businesses set up for the evening. From Allison’s Baby Concierge and her team answering questions about everything from nursery decor, to finding care for baby, to postpartum care— to the delicious spread provided by Napa Flats, Bloom literally had it all.

In addition to yummy food, a stuffed swag bag, and tons of cool services to check out, every attendee was invited to enjoy a mini massage or get a braid done at the Blo braid bar!

After visiting, shopping, getting pampered, and grabbing a bite to eat, attendees made their final giveaway entries and moved to the DoSeum’s large classroom space for the expert panel Q&A.

Moderated by Brooke, the panel fielded questions submitted by attendees that ranged from chiropractic care for the third trimester “waddle,” to breastfeeding, and new research on delayed bathing for baby just after birth. Each table was adorably decorated in a baby shower or birthday party theme by the talented ladies at Inspired Occasions.

After the panel adjourned, experts and attendees had some extra talking time in the courtyard where they checked for giveaway winners and picked up prizes.
