Score Big This Summer with Post Cereals and MLS!

ACMB is excited to partner with Post Cereals. This is a sponsored post.

Growing up on the border in Eagle Pass, I remember being able to see fútbol matches on the field that butted up to the Rio Grande’s edge from our car as we drove through downtown on our way to or from my grandparent’s house, or when we were heading to Mexico for a party.

True confession: even though I’ve never played a game of soccer my entire life, I am a fan. I love the running, the DRAMA, the teamwork. Also, I love that my kids love to play soccer on the field and in our backyard, with their own dramas and teamwork.

Alamo City Moms Soccer Post Cereal

Post Cereals are the Official Cereal of Major League Soccer and the unofficial cereal of soccer moms everywhere! Post Cereals have always been a staple in our house and car (travel = all the bento boxes full of cereal) and are the perfect way to start the day or tide over a (perpetually) hungry kid until dinner. In case you’re not familiar with the variety available, check this out:
  • Honey Bunches of Oats®: the perfect combination of crispy and sweet flakes with crunchy clusters, plus a touch of honey. It’s a crowd-in-the-car pleaser that’s great for chomping on all day
  • Fruity Pebbles™: a sweetened crispy rice cereal with intense fruity flavor
  • Cocoa Pebbles™: a sweetened crispy rice cereal for anyone who wants to start their day in a chocolatey way (and most people in my house usually do)

This summer, you can find limited edition MLS cereal packages with collectible Topps MLS player card cut-outs on the back of the boxes. And did you know Post has some yummy recipes for extra special treats using their cereals? Check them out HERE!

Post is bringing excitement to soccer families this summer by offering a chance to win a $25 or $100 eGift card in July through the Ibotta* app (after buying two or four boxes of Post Cereals, you’ll be entered in the giveaway).

Amanda R.
Amanda is a native Texan who spent a few years in the Boston area. Newish to the stay-at-home mom gig, she’s mother to an eight-year-old wilding and a five-year-old diva. When not trying to herd those cats, she runs a doula agency, Journey to Motherhood (@motherhoodsatx), and works as a San Antonio birth doula and childbirth educator. She has been married to her husband for almost nine years, which also means learning the ways of being a military spouse. Upon his return from his first deployment in their relationship, she surprised him by proposing to him when she finished her first half marathon (more like she held up a ring and he said yes). Their honeymoon was a babymoon (ehh) to Italy, followed by another deployment, building a new home, and having another child. Much time at home is spent cultivating a medicinal and vegetable garden (she’s a modern hippie), reading all kinds of books (everyone is a book nerd), crafting cocktails (because yum), documenting shenanigans and social activism on Instagram (@optimisticheathen), and holding spontaneous dance parties in the living room.
