Wow! Summer is barely over, school just started, and we jump right into the next holiday: Halloween. So where do you get your pumpkins? How many does it take to complete your family’s pumpkin carving, pumpkin baking, and fall decorating? When I picture fall in South Texas, I picture the harvest season in small towns: farms, tractors, scarecrows, and maybe even some hot apple cider. ACMB is happy to present you with this annual guide to pumpkin patches in San Antonio and if you’re up for a road trip, I’ve found some great pumpkin patches you can visit! Good News Pumpkin Patch

  • Pumpkins cost $.50 to $15 on average. Admission is free and includes mazes and moon bounces. Nominal fee charged for some activities (hayrides are $.50). Free movies in the patch on Saturday nights, plus laser tag on Sundays.[hr]

Alamo Heights United Methodist Church

  • No admission fee. Pumpkins are grown on a 100,000-acre farm in New Mexico that is owned and operated by the Navajo Nation.   • Pumpkin prices range from $.50 to $35. Over 15,000 pumpkins, costumed scarecrows, and fantasy characters are arranged for taking photos amidst the festival of fall colors. Hayrides and train rides aboard the Pumpkin Patch Express are offered during the evening.[hr]

Braune Farms Fresh Produce Pumpkin Patch

    • No admission fee. This farm is growing its crop up right up until the pumpkin patch dates and is dependent upon good weather leading up to the pumpkin patch and on the days scheduled to be open. You can also find this family farm selling produce at the Pearl Farmers Market.

Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch at Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm
