Synchronized Sparkle Adds Modern Magic to True Texas Fun at Old West Christmas Light Fest

ACM is thrilled to partner with Old West Christmas Light Fest to bring you this sponsored post.

Everything in San Antonio seems to take on a glow during the holiday season. From the River Walk to the Hill Country, you can’t help but want to get in on the fun. That’s especially true when you see the sparkle and shine at Old West Christmas Light Fest, a holiday event sure to delight everyone at Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne.

Santa and his Holly Jolly Herd are waiting to see you in the lights at Old West Christmas Light Fest!

Featuring drive-thru displays and an Old West town sparkling with lights, family fun, and holiday magic, once you see the ranch, you’ll understand why “Enchanted” is such a perfect name. A hidden gem in Boerne, it’s just minutes from San Antonio and a short hop from anywhere in the Hill Country. While the ranch is usually reserved for private events and field trips, during Old West Christmas Light Fest everyone is welcome to enjoy the Christmas magic that’s sure to become a holiday favorite.

Close your eyes and picture an iconic Old West town. Do you imagine swinging saloon doors? Maybe a trading post? And of course, no Old West town would be complete without a jail, post office, and church, all brought to life and decked out in lights for the holidays from Thanksgiving through Christmas. The fun unfolds from 6:00–10:00 P.M. each Thursday–Sunday evening through December 15th, as well as EVERY night from December 19th–25th, including Christmas Eve and Christmas night.

All new for 2019, the Old West is getting a touch of modern in a new Old West Light Show, thanks to the Hinojosa Family Lights. As seen on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and The Today Show, the Hinojosa Family Lights have moved into the Old West to create a spectacle sure to delight. Come see the magic they’ve built this year featuring Christmas classics and some surprise songs that will be fun for everyone in a synchronized music show that will leave children of all ages smiling.

The new fun doesn’t end there! Team Red or Team Green? You decide as you save Christmas by playing Laser Tag in the Lights. Far from a typical Old West shoot-out, you can electronically defend holiday fun with your friends and family surrounded by the glow of thousands of Christmas lights. Laser Tag in the Lights turns the “battles” of the holidays into family memories as you team up and take down anyone who isn’t in the Christmas spirit. The fun is all set to music, meaning you’re surrounded by lights, tunes, and the magic of the season as you take aim on holiday fun. So put any Scrooges on alert: they don’t stand a chance of being grumpy at Old West Christmas Light Fest.

If you long for a holiday escape, Old West Christmas Light Fest has another option for family fun this year: Old West Christmas Escape, two escape rooms onsite ready to challenge and entertain. With two themed rooms that accommodate four or six people, grab your friends and try your luck at beating the clock. Sessions are 30 minutes and can be pre-reserved, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the fun of the Old West and prove your escape-ability during a night in the lights. Timed sessions can be booked online, so build your team and make your plans to Christmas Escape.

Who knew longhorns could fly?!? Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd is ready to take over from the reindeer. Be sure to find them all in the Holly Jolly Herd Scavenger Hunt when you visit Old West Christmas Light Fest. Photo by Mewborne Photography.

Santa will be visiting his favorite Texas ranch every night Old West Christmas Light Fest is open through Christmas Eve. There’s no charge for photos with Santa, making Old West Christmas Light Fest the place to be to get your picture-perfect holiday photo. Be careful: Santa has been known to dance and sing with people who visit him! And of course, Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd is waiting to meet you. Be sure to say hello to Santa’s longhorns, which are ready to pull his sleigh across Texas.

What?—you haven’t heard of the Holly Jolly Herd?! There’s Tinsel and Grazer and Garland and Ranger, Jingle and Duncan and Cindy Lou Moo (who is no more than two, so her mama Moo-bell is joining the crew), along with Manu! Find them all in the Holly Jolly Herd Scavenger Hunt and take home a sweet treat.

Sweet treats you can learn to decorate yourself in the Old West Cookie Class.

Another sweet treat? Old West Cookie Decorating, a special class with training, tips, and tricks from a true master. You’ll go home with fresh cookies (and recipes!) to recreate them at home. Classes are limited, so grab your friends and sign-up today. (Psst—you can also buy gorgeous goodies to take home any night. Just visit the Old West merchants!)

Don’t forget to snap amazing share-worthy photos in the Old West Candyland Instagram room, where your sugar plum dreams are sure to come true. Or walk through light tunnels that will transport you to holiday fun. If you forget to mention anything on your list when you’re sitting on Santa’s lap, visit the Old West post office to send him your Christmas wishes. And if you’re on the naughty list, be sure to avoid the Old West jail or you might get locked up!
