Best Bakeries in San Antonio: 2024 Edition

I’ve coined a saying in my family: “I don’t have a sweet tooth – I have sweet teeth!”

My husband and kids always chuckle when that comes out, but it rings true. Fortunately, my taste buds have the opportunity to share with y’all some noteworthy bakeries in and around San Antonio!

Pan Dulce

Let’s start off with where you can find some of the best pan dulce — a Spanish term for the category of breads that can be eaten at breakfast (or in my family, at any time of the day!). We’re talking about conchas, sweet empanadas, cuernos and many more!

Below are some noteworthy Mexican bakeries in San Antonio that are guaranteed to always pair well with cafecito, or a cup of chocolate milk.

  1. Sarah, I’m still mourning Bistro Bakery too. It was divine! I used to take myself there for a special birthday breakfast each year, savoring an almond croissant while reading and writing. I could actually convince myself I was at a little bakery on the streets of Paris. It was bliss. I will always miss it.

  2. DROOL~~ We have a nothing bundt cakes here in Dallas… Actually right around the corner from my house! I go everytime I have special guests over 🙂 It is so good!
