2018 Thanksgiving Roundup: Dining and Takeaway Options for Turkey Day

If you consider getting up at 5:00 A.M. to start your turkey, after staying up until 1:00 A.M. to make fresh pies for Thanksgiving, to be the pinnacle of your holiday season, then this post might not be for you. (Or maybe you need this information the most?!)

When it comes to getting a little—or a lot of—help for the holidays, most San Antonians swear by the standards of Luby’s, Bill Miller’s, Rudy’s, and more, but you might be surprised at how many other options are available, no matter what you want!

Perhaps you’re looking for a staycation? You’re in luck, because lots of local hotels offer delicious options that let you sleep in and take a post-meal nap without the worry of who’s doing the dishes. Or you can just go there to eat, so you’ll still get to sleep in and won’t have to worry about dishes.

Maybe you’re OK with washing some plates and heating food up but really don’t want to have to pull out a mixing bowl or measuring cup? We’ve got you covered there, too.

All that’s missing is the perfect dessert? Look no further!

If you’re vegetarian, or even vegan, you can also partake in the bounty of the holiday without a second thought.

So go ahead and stick your neck out. Take a chance with something different for Thanksgiving this year. You might be creating new traditions!
