Celebrating Mothers:  Painting with Gio

Mothers and their children (5 years or older) will enjoy a painting session led by energetic and charismatic international artist Gio DiZurita. Based in San Antonio, Dizurita tells stories through her art, an everlasting transformation of life experiences. She’ll lead everyone in a creative and fun family painting adventure to create a hummingbird in acrylic on an 11 x 14 canvas. Like mothers, hummingbirds are known for their intelligence, beauty, devotion, and love.  DiZurita notes, “These little birds are also respected as fierce fighters and defenders of their territory,” making the hummingbird the perfect subject for Mother’s Day.

Tickets are $45, or $35 for members of the museum. Registration is one per family and includes all supplies. The class size is limited, so register today to ensure your spot!
