Join Autism Community Network this Friday, March 5, 2021 at 9am CST for “Making SENSE of Autism: TOUCH” presented by our very own Carrie Alvarado, PhD, OTR and Adrienne Gaither, OTR, C-SIPT, C/NDT.
In this session you will learn why the tactile system is so important in child development and how “touch” presents differently for those diagnosed with autism. Differences in tactile development can create vulnerabilities and challenges, but can also create unique opportunities. You will learn how to assess your child’s tactile system and strategies to support them. You will also begin to understand your tactile system and how to enmesh that with your child’s.
If you would like to register, please email Patty Vela at [email protected]org.
