Zoo Camp

Get ready for a wild summer! Week-long summer camp themes will appeal to your child’s passion for wildlife and nature. All camp themes include up-close encounters, zoo tours, themed activities, fun games, and art projects, all set in a nature-based play environment.

Campers will be placed in groups based on grade level entering this coming fall. See below for our list of summer camps and dates.

Kinder – 5th Grade

Camp hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the price is $265 per child, per week.

Animal Engineers

Nests, burrows, mounds and more…campers will build up some amazing discoveries in this Zoo Camp! From insects to mammals, birds, and fish, campers will take a closer look at the incredible engineers of the animal world.

Camp Weeks:

• May 26-29, 2020 (4-day camp is $215 per child)
• June 15-19, 2020
• July 6-10, 2020
• July 27-31, 2020

Where In The World?

Is it possible to travel around the world in a week? Zoo Campers are about to find out! With their zoo passport in hand, campers are bound to have an adventure like no other as they travel around the zoo in search of some of the coolest animals across the continents.

• June 22-26, 2020
• July 13-17, 2020
• July 27-31, 2020

Olympic Animals

Get ready, get set – GO! This summer, campers will discover the many adaptations that make animals exceptional athletes. As campers decide which animal should take home the gold, they’ll test their own skills during the Zoo Camp Summer Olympic Games!

Camp Dates:

• June 8-12, 2020
• June 29 – July 3, 2020
• July 20-24, 2020
• Aug. 10-14, 2020

6th – 8th Grade

Camp hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Mon. – Fri. and is $325 per child, per week.

Wild Careers

Discover the wild side of working at San Antonio Zoo! Get up-close and personal during camp exclusive experiences with the animal care, conservation and veterinary teams. Campers will go behind-the-scenes throughout the zoo and find out what it takes to secure a future for wildlife. Join the zoo crew for an adventure like no other!
