Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care was created when Dr. Thomas Spurgat realized that most patients waiting in the Emergency Room for treatment are not there for life threatening emergencies, yet still need care that is not available in most pediatric offices. So, in 2006, he opened the first Little Spurs clinic off of Bandera Road and from there has assembled a skilled staff of pediatric emergency room experienced, board certified pediatricians, and experienced advanced practice practitioners who are highly qualified to take care of your child’s minor emergencies.

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is open seven days a week and takes care of children’s minor emergencies. A walk-in urgent care, Little Spurs can see children from the age of 0-21. JTM-Doulas of San Antonio is San Antonio’s only birth and wellness doula collective,  and the care that we offer through our doula services (for pregnancy and birth support) is very unique and all encompassing.We understand that the journey to becoming a parent begins long before the baby develops, and that it is a multi-faceted endeavor requiring knowledge, support, and guidance.

We support birthing people no matter their race, sexuality, faith, socioeconomic background, or physical appearance.

Included in our services are two prenatal sessions in your home, birth/breastfeeding/postpartum workbooks, a 50-minute health and wellness session, labor and postpartum support on the day of your birth, and an additional postpartum session with the doula that attends your birth.

Each of us with postpartum care, different types of births, in different birthing facilities (including home births), and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have about any of our services. Our goal is to provide compassionate, judgement-free support, supporting your choices and birth vision.

Hello! My name is Denise and I am a Mom of two amazing kids that keeps me very busy. I am from Oregon, but have lived in Texas for the past few years. I love helping people. I spent over 15 years working with victims of crime, primarily sexual assault, domestic violence and drunk driving. I’ve taken the last three years off to be a stay at home Mom and hang out with my kids. However, life threw me a curve ball and I ended up being a single Mom. I have always had big dreams for me, but as you know, being a Mom, we put everyone first! We often neglect ourselves and are left feeling exhausted, unappreciated, and out of balance.

Then, I found Oola! What is Oola? Oola is short for ooh-la-la: it’s what life feels like when you are happy, growing and looking forward to what the world has in store for you. Oola is also the proven formula for getting back on track, and finding balance in our unbalanced world. We have 7 major life categories: Fitness, Finance, Family, Field, Faith, Friends, Fun. When one or more of those are out of sync, you feel unbalanced. You may struggle to find ways to get that balance back in your life, but are not successful and left feeling discouraged.
