San Antonio Art League

Home for the San Antonio Art League & Museum (SAALM) is a venerable building in the heart of the King William Historic District.    Built in 1896,  this  intimate house-turned-museum and gallery now houses over 600 works in its permanent collection, which focuses on Texas artists.  Works in all media – including paintings, drawings, prints and photographs, ceramics and sculpture – are available for public viewing.  Revolving contemporary exhibits highlight both local and regional artists, and represent the unique work of diverse Texas talent.

Notable Texan artists such as Robert and Julian Onderdonk, José Arpa, Emma Richardson Cherry, E. G. Eisenlohr, Martha Mood, Charles Umlauf, and Amy Freeman Lee are represented in the league’s diverse and highly respected collection.

The Briscoe Western Art Museum, located on the banks of the historic San Antonio River Walk, brings to life the vibrant culture and heritage of the Western United States. The Museum offers a permanent collection of Western art and artifacts related to the American cowboy, American Indian, the Vaquero, pioneering women and the many diverse groups that forged the American West.
Highlights of the museum include Pancho Villa’s last known saddle, an interactive diorama of the Alamo conflict, a restored chuck wagon, and Santa Anna’s ceremonial sword.

The Tobin Center is a world-class venue that promotes a diverse range of cultural, educational, and artistic experiences that improve the quality of life in San Antonio.

The Tobin Center features a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose 1,750 seat (2,039 seats with flat-floor configuration) Performance Hall (both including balcony boxes in the count), a 232 seat (or 249, 266, 293, or 300 – depending on the number of additional rows added in front of the stage) Studio Theater, and an outdoor performance plaza connected to the River Walk with a permanent 32 FT video wall and water taxi portal.

With generous support from H-E-B, Wellness at the Tobin is a series of free public experiences designed to address aspects of living and being well. We strive to present something for everyone at the Tobin, join us for any or all of these uplifting events throughout the year.

Color Me Mine Huebner Oaks is a paint-your-own-pottery studio open daily from 10-9am. We are walk-in based but also offer field trips, a private party area, and can work with groups to do fundraising and events. The studio has a $10 studio fee per painter and all pieces are individually priced.
